i am scared of ding tai feng!

 

yesterday went to ding tai feng for dinner. and it was quite crowded due to the fact that most families are celebrating early 'reunion dinner' in replacement for today.

but because there were only the 2 of us, so we kinda get our seats in 3 mins.

i was kinda sicked of ding tai feng. its like a fortnightly thingy for my dinner.

and this time i tried a few new dishes, which i am going to share!!:)

 

this is the shanghai drunken chicken.

you can easily taste the chinese wine on it. actually the wine taste was quite strong. nevertheless, it was a cold dish, therefore the wine actually overpower the chicken. 

i think there are better white chicken out there than spending 7 bucks on this small portion of chicken.

  

 

this is a must-have. 

we always ordered this fried rice with egg and shrimp. 

each delicate of rice is just so full.

the ingredient is superb fresh.

 

this is a new dish. 

deep fried prawn paste!

nice! i love the prawn inside. :) 

 

 

after dinner, we went to cine to catch the movie, dear John..

was anticipating it actually.

was deciding between valentine day or dear john. 

and decided to catch dear john instead.

 

dear john wasnt as nice as i anticipated it to be!

BOOS!!!!!

it was a romantic story ( checked)

it was a sad story ( checked) 

* i did tear, but its happen on when the male lead's father died. * 

yeah... like not the climax to cry right. 

but yea, i cried at that point.

its a typical story of a couple separated by distance.

the male lead had to go overseas for military training and the female had to stay for school. 

the couple kept in contact with letter. 

and they actually kept the letter they wrote for each other 

and the girl gave up their love in the middle and fell in love with another sickly person.

but toward in the end, hmm... typical ending.

the fact that i anticipated so much is also because of channing tatum. he is the step up 1 male lead.

                                                         but this show. it was quite disappointing

chinese new year day 1

was deciding what entry to blog.

and decided on the CHINESE NEW YEAR post!

how is everyone reunion dinner and chinese new year?

ate alot of abalone?

Chinese new year is one of my favourite festive season in the year.

not only i have 2 days of visiting to do, tiring but u can see ur 'long-lost' relatives too.

anitcipated this quite long.

and i bought my cny clothes way long ago.

and this time also a big headache cause its near the exam.

and its on a valentine day! :( big boos!! :(

anyway i still enjoyed my cny!

first day attire was a dress from forever 21.

i love it! :)

and i got my inspiration of putting on together with a white top while watching a new year progamme on new year eve.

the hr dinner! no more exams!

finally i changed my blog layout.. spent last night and just now editing those coding which is madness to me!!

and i very very excited for the upcoming new blog from the HR ladies! :)

will link up the url once the layout is fully done!
and i am going to credit the layout to Jean!! she is the best in that!!
and each of the Hr ladies has a role to blog inside.
will reveal it soon!

ps. jean has a interesting role in the blog. stay tune!

anyway this new blog layout is slightly different. i had removed the tag board and the link of the frens cause i am too lazy to edit the url occasionally. but frens' blog are still on my favourites alright?! :)

many might wonder how come there is a sudden HR ladies blog. this is all thanks to THURSDAY night dinner!! :)

thursday was finally the last day of exam.
it was a tough study week with new year preparation, bdays etc.
but i am glad i cleared it.

and the HR ladies sort of went for a dinner after exam at square 2.

we went to waruku- jean's recommendation.
and she advised us to ordered the set dinner, and convinced us that we could finish it if we ate that slowly.
but no matter how slow we tired to feed ourselves, we left a big portion untouched.

 

we had to wait for seats nearly half an hour. its not crowded. its just fully packed with a small section opened. nevertheless, they served us free iced lemon tea while waiting. 

but we kept ourselves occupied too. 

with....

twitter!! 

i am glad cordelia is joining us!

she had a twitter account too! :)

First day of freedom.....

And guess wad!!! I did baking today!!!!

Wanted to bake some lovely cookies for the ladies for picnic today was last min I am sorry the oven is working perfectly after few rounds... :(

A spoilt surprise..

This morning my mum called me woke up freaking early!! Like 8.30 in the morning when I am sti in my dreams enjoying my air con on my bed...

Decided to went for a early breakfast since we were up so early in the morning!!

Mum bro and I went to mac for breakfast!!! And I tried on the deluxe breakfast meal!!!



- this breakfast is like specially made for me!!! I love big breakfast and hot pancakes.. Now I can have it in just a meal!!! But it was a big portion.. Shared it with mummy!!

After that went back home an did cookies!!!!

Alot of hardwork and cleaning up to do.. But u feel the sense of satisfaction after seeing your own handmade cookies!!:)
It might not taste as good as famous amos, but I am sure it was filled with sincerity ;)

After all the spicyness it's good to have something to cool down your stomach!!

Recommendation will be mango ice from hk cafe!!



If u are a mango lover u will love this!!! Generous mango fruits are given!!
It's so yellow!! Hahah
