goodbye senoko!

friday is my last day in senoko! 

my last day of work attachment,

my last day of seeing my wonderful colleagues,

my last day of walking the 'red carpet route' to the Hr office,

my last day of having to worry wad to eat for lunch. 

my last day to complain how ulu the place is. 

my manager asked me before i leave, what is the best thing here in senoko. without a second thought, i say its the people here.

over here in senoko, i think there is no such things as office politics, maybe there are minor ones, but u wont see the fierce competition like u see in most companies. all i can see is employees committing their life for this job, working for years. different department people chat with each others, like they known each other for years. i got greeted by everyone, i am well taken care of over there. even the security guard also smiled at me each time i cleared the sercurity clearance in the morning.

it is the friendly working environment that makes me dun bear to leave.

its the people.

well, the thing that i dun like senoko is....

1. i have to think of wad food to have for lunch. the food sold in the canteen is horrible. 

all thanks to FRANCIS, me and marvin godfather to bring us out in his merc! :)

2. i dun like how ulu the place is. there is no public transport unless its the peak hour of morning and event. apparently u are like stuck in that ulu power station

3. i am very near johor. marvin once said, our nearest mac is across the sea, at johor!

but still, i enjoy the days in senoko, no matter how much i complain, but overall, it is a good working experience i had. i love the exposure that the HR department had given me :) i also love it when i am part of the team :)

with mrs tan! :) she guided me alot. and always worry for me about my assignment whether i have enough things to write in my report!! : ) nice lady...

  

with Kheam, my manager. she is a nice lady, who has lots of energy for her age! :) she is like my role model over there... really thanks her alot for giving me lots of encouragement. :)

he is freaking rich and no children haha. so we self-claim to be his godchildren. hahha...all thanks to him i have proper lunch, he always request to drive us out for lunch in his merc car!!

Long Service Award :)

Long Service Award 2009 is finally over..

i am honoured to be the MC for this event... the whole department gave me this chance :) i am so glad that i got this new experience and i gain exposure too! :)

i brought the left over balloons back at office. and everyone is complaining how irritating the balloons are because it is taking too much space... but they are soo pretty..cant resist them :)

this is marvin! he is the another intern who craps with me during my intern days:) too bad i leaving first. wahahaha

ohhhh yes i finally got a pic with this DSL. :)

during the whole event, i was super nervious.. .because of the names that are soo difficult to pronouns. luckily i did not make any boos boos on stage.. :) got a chance to talk to the boss in SENOKO!!  p.s he is an ang moh! ehhh thats like a wow wow wow experience....

many of the big bosses came down to attend this event. so i saw alot of ang mohs too.. :):)

and a few of the 'seniors' that i do not know but met them during the event came to share their experience with me..

and the lead singer for this SENOKO band playing the guitar is 35 yrs old.. i tht he is 28!! he is a nice chap! :)

food is not too bad.. i remember carry huge amount of food in my stomach home, left undigested

The boss thanked us for all the hard effort! even my name was there! :) happY! :)

and i thinking wad to get for them... nice people who make me enjoy my days in intern! :)

a birthday celebration on thurs in office. it was my colleague, mrs tan birthday! its her 60th bday!! she still look young for her age ;)

it was pot luck, and my manger kheam, prepared alot of delicious tempting food like spaghetti, beef ( that i dun eat but appeal tempting still) baked cheese salmon, seafood. it is just like a normal delicacies. :) i got a tub of chocolate ice cream. and there is chocolate exotic birthday cake from 4 leaves. :)

i really love this cake and i have the privilege to have 2 slice of it!: ) yummy!

and we sang birhtday song to this still-looking young birthday lady, with my in charge in the picture :)

rina came over on friday... because she knows i am apparently keep tearing over something! :( really painful to let go.. its like crying till my eyes swollen that day...

but this babe was soo nice to keep me accompany!: ) treated her HK cafe near my house..

been tearing because i miss somebody

i feel useless because its just 2 weeks.

but it seems years, months...

i wanted to really tell her,

but i lack the courage.

but i know what i wan now.

i will, in the matter of time.

its just day 2

i am just too lazy to blog bel's bday today.. it will be a super long entry.. i shall be more hardworking the next time...

hangover the past few days when i do not even have a proper sleep...drink drink drink...

excessive drinking is bad for health where it will result in weight gain... hmm... noted!

2 more weeks on work attachment and i am done with it... :)

i cant wait for the itouch!:):):) 

i feel like eating this now... cravings!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 

 

sometimes i wish we can talk to each other better, 
so that we understand each other better
and we wont be in such status now. 

suddenly i feel like going back school life! i just soo bored at work... mundane job scope. i seriously thinking is this the line that i wan to continue to persue in my career.

the semester approaching is a look-ahead one. the final lap before i graduate.and i have a rest day on wed. means shopping with mama on wed! :) at least its the mid of the week to recharge my energy and continue my week.

being an office lady, sure gain weight. what you are mainly the same routine thing, and most of the time, not much movements are required. EAT, back to desk, STARE at screen. that has been my daily life in the office.

and now marvin has a iphone, i start to play some of the games inside... i am soo glad i am going to get my itouch soon!!!!!!!! :):)  i dun need wifi in my phone le... just depend on my itouch... but i still love my ipod classic still! :)

anyway will be back to blog about bel's bday soon! :):) and the world is soo small... someone i know knows that main lead.. wahhahaha

i fianlly ate a decent lunch today! :) chicken rice.. lunch for the past few days was horrible... today was not too bad for normal day, but best for this week. haha!

damn. no more mooncake. no more snacking in office... gotta run and loose weight!!

and i should remind myself to finish the sister's keeper storybook before watching the movie  SOON it shall be!

mooncakes without moon

yes it is the mid autumn festival once again..

this year, the bad rainy weather dampen the kids' mood and mine. cant play lantern and candles :( u wont be able to see the round moon too. and according to the paper, it stated that the this year moon is the brightest. too bad we cant see the sight of it.

this year i started to eat lots of mooncake.. previously, i dun fancy any mooncake, but this year, i kinda savour the different hotels' mooncake...

and i have my favourites too.

of course, the younger generations enjoy the snow skin mooncake much better. but dun forget the traditional mooncake...

nevertheless, i still had my moonake and green tea to go with. :)

in my office, lots of clients sent us mooncakes, which give me ample opportunities to try on the wide variety of mooncake. most of them are traditonal.

and i love the goodwood park one best! :)

my dad brought Shangri-la mooncake home. and it was fantastic too..

it is like i falling in love with double york mooncake this year! :)

orchard hotel got this mooncake like dun look like mooncake. full of nuts inside. i dun like it.

tried some other snow skin flavours from m hotel etc...

i like pandan flavour not too bad.. green tea too. but chocolate etc, i think its taste alittle werid.

i like rainy feeling, soo cooling and relaxing..

mooncake spoil my day.

it makes me fat

and i have a sore throat too!

on the lighter note, work has been not too bad. it can be hectic at times, but still i enjoyed it.

rushing through proposal, deadlines, i love the work challenges. at least its manageable.

Sit in the HR meeting together with the whole department let me get the experience and feel of the reality of working life.

and the people there are great. been treating me like their own daughters and frens:)

and i got my own bear to acc me while working! :)

3 more weeks. and i am done with work attachments. thats fast. and the HR department asked me to come back during nov and join them for a team bonding day with them. :)
