FINALLY finally i managed to meet up with soulmate..omg! soulmate u are sooo missed.... its has been like a while since we hang out and chatted quite abit...

soulmate was rather a busy lady during this holiday...all becuase of her japan's trip... however i am sooo glad that she enjoyed her trip:) her experiences in japan seem fun...endless shopping trip tempted me... though the food doesn... but cheap make-ups really really tempt me..

anyway, met sifan and we headed down to chinatown.. and and.. we werent really lose...soulmate is really a geo's student. she reads the map way better than me, and within 10 mins, we arrived at the destination.we did not make any u-turns! wow! soulmate u are the best! haha!

we were too hungry to chat much first and we started ordering the dim sum first.. eating dimsum and then chat and also cam-whores.


was kinda sicked with prawns cause most of the dishes have prawns inside them.. i remembered i complain bout this before. anyway.... the food was alright... u know i cant eat much for buffet as usual..

after that, we didnt really explore chinatown since we were both not that interested in that area.. but but saw this cute little red letter postman box.

after that soulmate accompany me shopping, bought sooo much stuffs.. i really broke now... got myself 3 pairs of earrings, sandals, nail polish etc... u just name it... i almost wanted to spend on another 3 dresses... :x

went Bugis to shop..its been quite some time since i went there to shop anyway...spend a few hours there and then home sweet home...ohhh..before we left, as usual, we cam-whores.. and same place,it was in the hotel's toilet..

soulmate got things for me from japan.. omg... i was sooo touched..cause things in japan was never cheap. and and the one i love the most is the charm that she got for me from japan. she told me how the charm works and i was soo interested in that... its the thought that matters always..and soulmate, i really really appreciate ur thoughts... as usual, u are always my one and only soulmate!!!!!!! :):):)

went to geylang with baby in the morning to have taste beancurd. though we have the map downloaded on baby's phone, we still unable to find the beancurd store.. we walked quite a distance.. ended up we asked the lady in the 7-11. she was super friendly. she was telling us there were 2 beancurd stores and the one oppostite is the 24-hrs beancurd store which is rather popular too. baby and i wanted to get the rochor's beancurd. and the lady also told us she prefered the rochor's beancurd. she even told us the history and which beancurd is more nicer...super friendly and nice!!!

actually we were just opposite the 24-hr popular beancurd store. therefore we decided to have a bowl of beancurd to try since we are also little hungry..

the toasted biscuit quite nice... i should try to make it at home one day... very tempting.. while for the beancurd, it has some nuts on top of it.. but it isnt very soft and tender compared to rochor. nevertheless, it is still better than normal beancurd.. the price for thie beancurd is 1.60 per bowl. slightly more expansive too..

baby just ate like 4 mouths and he pass the remaining to me..:(

after that we continue to search our way to the rochor beancurd. we realised it was actually very near to the place that we first started... we went a big round.. and finally we managed to get our rochor's beancurd.. :)

rochor's beancurd is much more smoother, tender and softer.. the taste really really nice... just take a look at its texture... the you-tiao was not bad. but me and baby were too full... thats was our lunch.. we wanted to go old airport road to have lunch, ended up, we were defeated by the milks and beancurds, and decided to have the beancurd as our lunch. :x

after tat we headed down to pasir ris park!!!!!!! to meet mama nature.

it was still raining when we were walking to pasir ris park...zz.. and my umbrella went crazy on me... wanted to go bak to white sand to get an umbrella, but the rain stopped.. zzz... thanks the st peter for playing a trick on us...

it was scorching hot when after the rain.... but i couldnt get dark. baby was tanned or red... i can see his slipper's tan on his feet.. so funny and cute... wahhaha..

pasir ris park changed quite alot... there is no longer a big space for u to picnic, most of the sands are covered with carpet grass now.. quite saddening.. man-made... a beach dun seem to be a beach le..:(

specialized mainly steak..


the mushroom soup is the only soup that they have.. and the soup is not the typical campbell soup but it is made with the freshest mushroom. the garlic bread is nice! crunchy!


hickory BBQ chicken.

the onion ring is nice.. i can taste the onions. and the baked potato is nice too.. it is soft and delicious. first time i ate the whole baked potato. the chicken was alright though. probably because without the sauce, the chicken tasted like satay chicken and i dun fancy satay.

didnt taste it.. but the french fries are delicious.. they have a special seasoning for it..

the prices of the food are reasonable. it is within a student's budget. oh, and Ashton is rather popular... so be sure to be queuing outside the restaurant esp if u are going with a group of friend.

currently they are having a promotion for 5 bucks, u get to eat their meal from 3 to 5.30pm. the servings are small for that promotion but well, what can u expect for 5 bucks from a resturant.

the chicken rice was delicious.. i love the soup. i didnt take a pic of it.. but are chicken soups addictive? the chicken is tender and juicy.. nice!

laska... Yishun

yea yishun has nice nice laska. the gravy is thick enough.... it is not like katong laska, its another kind of laksa where the gravy is much thicker.. it is located near yishun bus interchange.

beside it, it has a desert store which has a wide variety of hot and cold deserts. and the deserts are cheap. just to balance the spicy-ness of the laska, the cold desert will just remove the spicyness off...
