Hong Kong day 1

 finally i had the time to blog my hk trip. 

it had been a month since i been to HK. 

well... finally, i traveled out of singapore. 

many reasons that held the family back previously. 

this time, the same reason held my dad back this time. 

well.. mum, bro and my aunt joined me for this trip. 

and i sort of planned the trip till the last min, and even packed my luggage the day before. 

so, dad drove us to the airport in the wee hours of the morning. 

i remembered my brother was not able to wake up to catch the flight, that i had to literally pull him out of bed. 

i didnt even sleep, was wads-apping with boy while he was on his way to Malaysia! 

randomly, he left sg earlier than me!! :( 

 

it was an early flight at 8am. 

and we took the plane behind from the cathay.  

 

had english breakfast in the plane. 

was super filling surprisingly. 

sat with my aunt during the plane ride. 

i totally slept through the 4 hours plus flight. 

equipped myself with a pillow provided, sunglasses and off, i am in dreamland. 

 

HK airport is super big. but changi airport is so much nicer. 

we gotta take a tram ride down to get our luggage. 

after that we got our transport to the hotel. 

 

was waiting to check in in the hotel.

we were staying in Kimberley hotel. 4 stars hotel, but can be compared with Sg's 2/3 stars. 

guess where is the fridge in the hotel room?

its in the toilet, under the basin, near the toilet bowl.. gross anot?! 

i didnt touch the fridge at all.

 

after we put our luggage down and rest abit,  we headed down to City Gate where the factory outlets are. 

first day shopping i spent a bomb, i bought kate spade wallets, ralph lauren and esprit tops for the boy. spent most money over there for my boy.

dinner was a rush, because we were too engrossed in the shopping that we forgot the dinner time. 

we just popped by into the 'food republic' in the shopping centre, and i was impressed, their porridge in food court tasted gd! nearly on par with crystal jade's porridge. 

we went back hotel early on the first day since everyone was tired. 

Day 2 is ocean park! omg. there is a nightmare. blog soon! :) 

3rd Stop: peranakan Museum

its the 3rd stop, and we walked over to the Peranakan Musuem nearby.

the musuems are actually all located within walking distance from each other. 

 

 

we actually spent some time inside this musuem because there were lots of things inside. from traditional penerakan marriage to even dining area of the penerakan. 

interesting...

 

 

 

there is a interesting section where we get to try on the penerakan outfit. 

 

so Little Nonya right! haha! 

 

Shiryln's 22nd

 

Just before i flew to HK, the uni girls planned to celebrate shiryln's bday few days in advanced. 

all of us went to town after sch. 

we were having a tough time deciding what to eat! :( 

and we settled for a lunch buffet at somerset 313.

there was a wide variety of food. 

the fried salmons were good. even i loved it! 

 

 

we were an hour late for the buffet. 

and there were not much of dessert left for us when we were done with our mains. :( 

 

after the lunch, we walked around in town.

settled down at coffee bean for some girly talks.

2nd stop- Singapore Art Musuem

 

Hello! 

and our next stop of our musuem visit is to.....

 

Singapore Art Museum

its my favourite musuem of all! 

cause it's the most colourful musuem inside. haha! 

 

super bright colours to play around. 

 

there were even toys that brought us back to our young days... 

 

we spent rather long in this musuem before moving on....

cause everything looked so pretty to take a pic with! :) 

I love Musuem part 1: National Museum of Singapore

 

finally we went to visit musuems! 

during the month of Aug, most of the museum are FOC. 

making use of this opportunity, the 3 of us decided to meet to visit some of them. 

the last time we visited a museum was during our primary sch days. 

that was years back! 

 

and so, our first check in was the National Museum of Singapore. 

 

got 3 tickets for us! :) 

it was kinda crowded, prob due to Free admission for the month. 

 

 

this museum is kinda big, with lots of galleries to explore..

 

this was our sec sch motto. 

 

 

 

 

 

2 of them were so interested in the oldies

 

we spent nearly 2 hours there before we moved on to another museum.

I am in HONG KONG!

By the time u guys read this post, i am in Hong Kong now! 

so excited.... few more hours before i leave house for airport. 

it's a pity that dad is not joining us for this trip. 

few days back, i had totally no feelings towards this trip. but now i can feel the excitement in me!! 

i promised boy that i am not going to spend unnecessary over there! 

well, everyone is in bed now. i am still here trying to make full use of the time i left before flying. 

and i just finished packing my luggage. 

so last min this time!!

hope its fun. 

cause its mai dong xi, chi dong xi!~ 

no weight gain please!! :(
